Las Vegas is one of my favorite places to travel and of course it is the one of the most popular tourist attraction. While it’s internationally renowned for shopping, entertainment, dining and gambling, there’s so many things to do and the possibilities are endless. Some travelers might not know that there are popular attractions Las Vegas has that are free to experience and this is why I decided for my first blog to list my top 10 things to do in Las Vegas that are free. Although of course this is just my opinion on what is top 10 and what isn’t, I still think any traveler should take a look whenever they get a chance to travel to Las Vegas. Some of the pictures I took are from my own or gotten from the website. Enjoy my list of Top 10 Things to do in Las Vegas that are Free.
#10 Visit M&M’s World
If you like crazy candies and chocolates galore , then this is the place for you. It is located on the Las Vegas Strip in the Showcase Mall next to the MGM Grand Hotel. It’s 4 stories tall building and good to check out or even get a picture in front of. Be sure to check the 3-D Movie they have playing when your there.
#9 Silverton Aquarium
Located at Silverton Casino Hotel which is outside of the strip south of Las Vegas, they have a free aquarium just as soon as you enter the main entrance near the bar. Here is a picture I took of the aquarium!
#8 Lake Las Vegas

Lake Las Vegas is located 20 minutes west of Las Vegas. It is a quaint neighborhood with beautiful houses, hotels and golf course nearby. The lake is man-made and the water I heard was taken from Lake Mead. Definitely a place to visit in the summer to stay cool from all the heat! I would of rated higher up the spot but it is quite far away from the strip and is more easily accessible by car.
#7 Exploring the Strip by taking the Tram

Okay if you want to explore all of Las Vegas Strip on foot, it’ll take you 2 hours of continuous walking which is hard on your feet. Some of the hotels have made it more accessible to go to and from a certain hotel by utilizing the tram system. There is a tram that runs to 3 different places. 1. Mandalay Bay-Luxor-Excalibur Hotel which is the most popular one that leaves about 3-7 minutes. 2. Park MGM-Crystals Shop-Bellagio/Vdara which runs every 10-15 minutes. 3. Mirage-Treasure Island which runs every 15 minutes.
#6 Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

Here’s me at the Bellagio Botanical Gardens and Conservatory. It is a different theme every time and changes every season. This one is a Christmas theme. It’s a great spot to take lots of photos.
#5 Ballys Light Water and Sound Show

At the front of the hotel, they have a light show that runs every 15 minutes at 8:05pm till 11:05pm. I believe it is only on Sunday to Thursday though.
#4 Fremont Street Light show
You’ve probably already seen my instagram picture of me at Fremont Street but the light show is something to see whenever you get a chance to visit Downtown Las Vegas. It is every hour of the night from 6pm-midnight. You’ll be amazed watching the show up on the ceiling.
Now it gets harder to pick the top 3 because they are all good and is a must to see when you visit Las Vegas. But without further ado.
#3 Caesar’s Palace Fall of Atlantis and Aquarium

There’s quite a few things to do in Caesar’s Palace. One is to watch the Fall of Atlantis Fountain Show located at the forum shops. The show is about 7-8 minutes long and takes place every hour from 10am to 11pm (midnight on Friday and Saturday). Then the aquarium is just near by the show.
#2 Mirage Volcano

This one takes place in front of Mirage Hotel and runs for 8 minutes at 8PM, 9PM and 10PM. I like volcanos so I rate this on my top 3.
#1 Bellagio Fountains

So this is #1 for me. The show runs on Monday to Friday every 30 minutes from 3pm-8pm then every 15 minutes from 8pm-midnight (on Saturday/holidays the show starts at noon instead of 3pm). On Sunday it runs every 30 minutes from 11am-7pm.
Do you know any places in Las Vegas not mentioned in this blog that people can experience for free? I love to hear it in the comments section.
